MIKE NEWTON
|
Ranked No1 amongst the top 100 entrepreneurs in the UK by Management Today magazine (January 05), Mike has been the creative force behind the DM’s since day one. As the company’s founder, more than 20 years ago, he brought to market the world’s first CCTV multiplexer, which proved to be an instant success and is still recognised today as a major landmark in the expansion of CCTV. Within 10 years, from a standing start, the DM business had grown to be worth £60 million, putting it at the very forefront of CCTV systems. In 1997 Mike left DM to set-up AD Group, focusing on mobile CCTV solutions for aviation and remotely monitored CCTV. He returned to the DM fold in May 2001 as Deputy Chairman alongside his role as CEO of AD Group – now DM’s parent company - which under Mike’s stewardship had become a major success in its own right. Mike’s philosophy has always been one of constant innovation, keeping one step ahead of the competition, and as Deputy Chairman of DM with responsibility for technical overview this is a winning formula which continues to deliver.
