Analytics Software Engineer (Ref: 157) Daresbury Park, Junc 11 M56, Nr Warrington, Manchester & Liverpool (Dedicated Micros) Competitive Salary + Excellent Benefits

We are currently looking for a Software Engineer to work within our Analytics Adaption Team based in Daresbury just off the M56 in developing solutions for bespoke applications.

The role is multi disciplinary, requiring a person with good interaction skills and a good background in Software Engineering. The Software Engineer should be capable of responding quickly and generating solutions to customer’s requirements in a controlled and documented manner. The main purpose of the role will be writing JavaScript and HTML web pages; implementing and running tests on Analytics packages; providing test data feedback to the team and generate helpful input to the Development process and providing feedback to Product Management and Sales on capability of Video Analytics to meet customer requirements.

The ideal candidate will have 2+ years previous experience in a software role, particularly with Javascript, HTML, robust design techniques, embedded software development and debugging. Knowledge of RTOS and Software Development Tools will also be required. Candidates should have good communication skills and a positive ‘can do’ attitude with the ability to work on their own and in a team effectively. The ideal candidate will also have a HND/Degree in Software Engineering or related discipline and a valid passport, as there will be occasional travel within Europe.

We are looking for Trainee Purchasing Assistant to join our busy Purchasing Team; the role will offer personal development and growth in a friendly global procurement environment.
 
The Trainee Purchasing Assistant role involves liaising with buyers, suppliers and overseas personnel in ensuring efficient procurement and logistics is maintained. The main duties include working with the Purchasing Assistant creating and maintaining databases whilst ensuring purchase orders are issued. The role also involves general administration such as filing, photocopying and assisting the senior team members where required.

The ideal candidate will have had some exposure to a purchasing environment and excellent Microsoft Office Skills, particularly in Excel (pivot tables and graphs) and strong communication skills. Due to the administrative nature of the role, exceptional clerical skills are also required.

Validation Engineer (Ref: 160) Daresbury Park, Junc 11 M56, Nr Warrington, Manchester & Liverpool (Dedicated Micros) Competitive Salary + Excellent Benefits

We are currently looking for a Validation Engineer to work within our Group Technical Support Team based in Daresbury just off the M56 in testing and validation new software and new products.

The role requires a person with good interaction skills and a good background in a CCTV support environment. The Validation Engineer should be capable of testing and validation of software builds and hardware, as well as undertaking technical investigation of escalated issues from our Field Application Support Team. The role will also involve investigating none conformant behaviour whilst reporting progress to Line Management.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years previous experience in a CCTV based support role. Knowledge of TCP/IP and IP Camera experience will also be required. Additionally knowledge of: embedded operating systems, testing processes and methodologies, C, Java and JavaScript would be advantageous. Candidates should have good communication skills and a positive ‘can do’ attitude with the ability to work on their own and in a team effectively. The ideal candidate will have a HND/Degree or equivalent in a technical subject or significant equivalent experience (Cisco/Microsoft networking qualification). A valid passport is also necessary, as there may be occasional overseas travel.
